Black City by Elizabeth Richards Review and Giveaway

Hey y'all,

Just finally getting used to posting on this, so what better way than to get the word out on Phoenix by Elizabeth Richards sequel to Black City releases in a month. I don't know if y'all follow me on Facebook but that was my 2012 top read. It was one of the best books I have read in my time and I couldn't get over how much I loved that book!

All I wanted to do was tell everyone about it, but noone had read it and since I had an ARC I couldn't find anyone else who had it. I know I fell in love with everything about that book, and I think you all would like it too. It is an amazing book, and the characters just pull you in and the author makes it a reality at least to me. I was so so so in love with this book, that I can't tell you enough! But I will since I am obsessed and since I have an extra Hardcover laying around I thought about giving it to one of my many fellow booklovers! So here is your chance to get your hands on Black City my 2012 TOP READ!

Synopsis : A dark and tender post-apocalyptic love story set in the aftermath of a bloody war.
In a city where humans and Darklings are now separated by a high wall and tensions between the two races still simmer after a terrible war, sixteen-year-olds Ash Fisher, a half-blood Darkling, and Natalie Buchanan, a human and the daughter of the Emissary, meet and do the unthinkable—they fall in love. Bonded by a mysterious connection that causes Ash’s long-dormant heart to beat, Ash and Natalie first deny and then struggle to fight their forbidden feelings for each other, knowing if they’re caught, they’ll be executed—but their feelings are too strong.
When Ash and Natalie then find themselves at the center of a deadly conspiracy that threatens to pull the humans and Darklings back into war, they must make hard choices that could result in both their deaths

Review : Wow. Wow. Wow. This book is now in my top 5, I don't know how you couldn't have fallen in love. This book gets you hooked from the beginning to WAY past the end. It has danger, love, betrayal, lust, fighting and so much more. I could not put this book down.

Natalie is amazing. Plain and simple amazing, she has gone through so much and is going to be going through a whole lot more. She is strong, determined, and will protect those she loves to the very end. Then she meets Ash, beautiful, strong, hot, jerkoff Ash who throws her for a loop. He is a darkling but something is happening between them. She is breaking rules, going behind her mothers back, don't things she know is wrong but is it really?! Through her journey of figuring out who she really is, she is finding a stronger person who doesn't like what is going on around her, she isn't agreeing with what she brought up on. So she is going against everything to save the one boy she loves most.

Ash holy hotness. I was wishing I was Natalie through this book. He is a very unique character who has tons of sides. He to some people is the drug dealing boy, or the one who helps deliver food to the needy, or the one who helps someone in need. He has all these different sides but never changes who he is. Then comes Natalie barging into his life, throwing him off, confusing him, then something HUGE happens and he doesn't know what to think. He will do anything to protect her, and again everything is thrown off course with some new admissions. He doesn't know what to do or think, the one thing he knows for sure is Natalie is HIS and he will do whatever it takes to keep her and his loved ones safe.
This book I am still reeling from and can't keep the smile off my face when telling friends about it. I just need them to read it so they know how I feel. This book took my breath away, and I can't wait to see the next leg of the journey. I am already getting anxious about it!!!
