He's Gone Blog Stop

* A special “Thank You” to Deb Caletti and Random House for making this tour possible.

Synopsis

“What do you think happened to your husband, Mrs. Keller?”

The Sunday morning starts like any other, aside from the slight hangover. Dani Keller wakes up on her Seattle houseboat, a headache building behind her eyes from the wine she drank at a party the night before. But on this particular Sunday morning, she’s surprised to see that her husband, Ian, is not home. As the hours pass, Dani fills her day with small things. But still, Ian does not return. Irritation shifts to worry, worry slides almost imperceptibly into panic. And then, like a relentless blackness, the terrible realization hits Dani: He’s gone.

As the police work methodically through all the logical explanations—he’s hurt, he’s run off, he’s been killed—Dani searches frantically for a clue as to whether Ian is in fact dead or alive. And, slowly, she unpacks their relationship, holding each moment up to the light: from its intense, adulterous beginning, to the grandeur of their new love, to the difficulties of forever. She examines all the sins she can—and cannot—remember. As the days pass, Dani will plumb the depths of her conscience, turning over and revealing the darkest of her secrets in order to discover the hard truth—about herself, her husband, and their lives together.

Review : This book just breaks your heart! Deb pulls on the heart strings of us all through this devastating journey of truth, betrayal, love, and dark secrets.

Dani is willing to go through anything to get her husband back. When he goes missing she realizes she needs to open that closet door and sort out their skeletons. She knows they weren't absolutely perfect but she didn't know how much had come between them.As we go through her story of her life and how she got to where she is you just want to hug her.

I really enjoyed this book, not much a mystery but still really good! Deb pulls you in and you just want to keep going and going until you find out what happened to Dani's husband and if everything will turn out alright!

Tall, Darl, and Divine blog Stop!

Tall Dark And Divine Blurb:
Being the Greek god of love doesn’t mean you believe—or want—anything to do with that sappy emotion. Sure, Eros runs his matchmaking business, Made in Heaven, but finding his own love has never been part of the equation. When he spots the sweet baker who works across the street, he vows to match her with someone else before she stirs his sullen heart. Annie Landon has given up on finding Mr. Right. What she needs is Mr. Right Here, Right Now, and this so-called “Greek God” she’s heard is on the rebound sounds like the perfect kind of distraction. But picking up the bitter workaholic is easier said than done… especially when he seems unreasonably determined to match her with someone else. Can a woman looking for love—and the matchmaking god who wants her to find it with someone who isn’t him—have a shot at a happy ending? May the best god—or mortal—win.

For The Love of Blogging.

I started reading again in 2008, and what got me to fall back in love with reading was Twilight. I know sounds kind of cliche but it is true, I saw it on sale on Black Friday and was wondering what the hype was all about so I picked it up and my new addiction was started. Twilight was the gate way drug to hundreds of other books I have fallen in love with. I fell in love with vampires, werewolves, fairies, YA and romance. I couldn't have stopped reading if I wanted to, with every new book I got a new escape, a new world to adventure and plenty of new crushes.

I have enjoyed 98% of the books I have read, and reading also lead me to a part time job at an indie bookstore which I was ordering a shit ton of books from every week sometimes a few times a week. Trough this job I made some awesome friends and people to fall in love just like I did. Again another opportunity to go to a trunk show lead me to a Penguin rep who I sat and talked with about tons and tons of books, well she offered me ARCs in exchange for reviews, I had no idea how to review so I just kind of winged it,my first review was literally two sentences. I had no idea what to write but the more the rep helped me the more I got into it, I could write in more detail what I loved, and felt. Reviewing for Penguin opened a lot of doors for me, I soon then started to get author requests along with other publishers and I was so surprised and grateful for the opportunity.

Reviewing lead me to starting a book page on Facebook, which was a surprise there were so many people out there like me who loved to read, fall in love with new worlds, recommended new books and also shared the same love of fictional characters. I have met a TON of amazing people, bloggers, and authors. I wouldn't trade this for the world, the things I have experienced have been amazing.

But there is SO much drama in this. I can't believe people have the nerve to steal reviews, demand ARCs or are just rude in general to someone who does this for fun, for the love of reading, reviewing and blogging. I along with plenty of other bloggers work our asses off writing honest reviews, making our blogs, posting new books, covers, giveaways and at times events. There is no reason at all to get jealous or petty over what someone does or doesn't get, who has more people on their page
or any of that. We do this because we love to read, to give something back to the authors who wrote some amazing books. We don't do this to see how many people we can get or how many ARCs or books.

I just can't get over the fact that some people think they deserve more than someone else. I can't say it enough that we do this because we LOVE to read, that should be all that matters. Get over the jealousy and the pettiness we are mostly grown women we should be acting like grown ups, not middle schoolers upset over someone stealing their boyfriend. If you have a problem with something someone did, said or took man up and talk to them about it. Ok rant over, peace, love and read.

Praise for Code of Silence: 'Deliberate, plausible, and gritty whodunit.' --Booklist Starred Review

Taken!

A detour through the park leads Cooper, Gordy, Hiro, and Lunk straight into a trap, and Gordy is abducted! For the kidnapper, it's all a game, a way to settle an old score, with no one getting hurt. But evil has a way of escalating, and once his identity is discovered, the rules change. Despite the best of police efforts, the hours tick by without a clue or a ransom call, leaving everyone to their own fears. Gordy is gone. Cooper descends deeper into a living nightmare, imagining the worst for his best friend and cousin. Hours stretch into days, and talks of a memorial service begin to surface. But Cooper still feels his cousin is alive and develops a reckless plan, changing all the rules. Now the one who set out to rescue his friend needs to be rescued himself. Sometimes rescuing a friend from darkness means going in after them.

Review : This was a great fast paced thriller of a book. It was a fast read with plenty going on and switching perspectives. I personally love seeing through everyone's eyes and the different perspectives.

Coopers feelings come through the pages and tug at your heart strings. He is desperate to find his best friend/cousin, he is willing to do whatever it takes. He is an amazing character who just pulls you in and makes you fall in love.

The clues, suspense and twists in this book are amazing. Tim wrote amazing characters, and plot on this book. Everything about it makes you want to hurry up solve the mystery and see what happens. I was in love with this book.
