A new adult and contemporary romance writer, Clare loves a happy ending. She lives in Minneapolis with her two leading men—her husband and young son. BEFORE YOU GO is her debut new adult novel.

Synopsis

Paralyzed by the past and terrified of the future, Tabitha Kelly is broken.

After a public sex scandal at her college, Tabby moves to a new city with a new school, convinced she can start over. But she soon realizes the changes are not enough. Tabby must take action to help her heal and move on from the past.

And though it sounds crazy, she believes a one-night stand is the best way to take back what’s hers. If she can choose where, when, and most importantly, who … maybe she can regain control.

First, she needs a willing participant.

She finds more than that when she meets Noah Adler.

Unfortunately, she can’t go through with it. And when she tries to forget about the plan—and the guy—it becomes impossible.

Noah quickly weaves his way into her new life and her heart. But as he comes dangerously close to discovering her secret, Tabby’s at risk of losing it all.

Review : This was an enoyable read. It was fun, fast and hot.

Tabitha is a character who needs control. She has a past she is running from and she needs to get over what has happened. In comes Noah ( swoon) who turns her world upside down, but she has to choose to be honest with him. Tabitha is close to getting what she wants and all she needs to do is confront her past to move onto her future.

How I Lost You Blog Tour

A Big Thank You to Janet Gurtler, Jean BookNerd, and SourceBooks for making this happen!

Synopsis

There are a few things Grace Anderson knows for sure. One is that nothing will ever come between her and her best friend, Kya Kessler. They have a pact. Buds Before Studs. Sisters Before Misters. But in the summer before senior year, life throws out challenges they never expected. And suddenly the person who's always been there starts to need the favor returned. Grace and Kya are forced to question how much a best friend can forgive. And the answer is not what they expected.

Review : Janet writes another fantastic, realistic book! Her books hit us in one way or another. She takes things that some of us don't know how to handle and puts it into a perspective we all can relate to at one point or another, this book is no exception!

This story is one of best friends, sisters from different misters but all of that changes. We all can relate to this story because we all had that one best friend. The one we would do anything for, tell anything to, and just laugh it off because we had each other. Kya and Grace are that, and they have something unbreakable, or do they? When some unexpected challenges come their way will they find a way to get over it together? Or forge different paths?

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know how this will play out because you want it to go your way! It was so realistic and the challenges some friends really do go through. I really enjoyed this book, it is a great, fast read that will put a new outlook on somethings!

Janet lives near the Canadian Rockies with her husband and son and a little dog named Bruce. She does not live in an Igloo or play hockey, but she does love maple syrup and says “eh” a lot.

Janet only gives 5 stars to the books she reviews because she is an author herself and knows that no book can appeal to everyone, but like a child, it is very special to the creator.

I'M NOT HER was published by Sourcebooks Teen Fire in May 2011.

IF I TELL released Oct 1, 2011 from Sourcebooks Teen Fire.

WHO I KISSED Sourcebooks Fire 2012.

Janet's work will also appear in the THE FIRST TIME anthology, DEAR TEEN ME anthology and WHO DONE IT anthology.

Black City by Elizabeth Richards Review and Giveaway

Hey y'all,

Just finally getting used to posting on this, so what better way than to get the word out on Phoenix by Elizabeth Richards sequel to Black City releases in a month. I don't know if y'all follow me on Facebook but that was my 2012 top read. It was one of the best books I have read in my time and I couldn't get over how much I loved that book!

All I wanted to do was tell everyone about it, but noone had read it and since I had an ARC I couldn't find anyone else who had it. I know I fell in love with everything about that book, and I think you all would like it too. It is an amazing book, and the characters just pull you in and the author makes it a reality at least to me. I was so so so in love with this book, that I can't tell you enough! But I will since I am obsessed and since I have an extra Hardcover laying around I thought about giving it to one of my many fellow booklovers! So here is your chance to get your hands on Black City my 2012 TOP READ!

Synopsis : A dark and tender post-apocalyptic love story set in the aftermath of a bloody war.
In a city where humans and Darklings are now separated by a high wall and tensions between the two races still simmer after a terrible war, sixteen-year-olds Ash Fisher, a half-blood Darkling, and Natalie Buchanan, a human and the daughter of the Emissary, meet and do the unthinkable—they fall in love. Bonded by a mysterious connection that causes Ash’s long-dormant heart to beat, Ash and Natalie first deny and then struggle to fight their forbidden feelings for each other, knowing if they’re caught, they’ll be executed—but their feelings are too strong.
When Ash and Natalie then find themselves at the center of a deadly conspiracy that threatens to pull the humans and Darklings back into war, they must make hard choices that could result in both their deaths

Review : Wow. Wow. Wow. This book is now in my top 5, I don't know how you couldn't have fallen in love. This book gets you hooked from the beginning to WAY past the end. It has danger, love, betrayal, lust, fighting and so much more. I could not put this book down.

Natalie is amazing. Plain and simple amazing, she has gone through so much and is going to be going through a whole lot more. She is strong, determined, and will protect those she loves to the very end. Then she meets Ash, beautiful, strong, hot, jerkoff Ash who throws her for a loop. He is a darkling but something is happening between them. She is breaking rules, going behind her mothers back, don't things she know is wrong but is it really?! Through her journey of figuring out who she really is, she is finding a stronger person who doesn't like what is going on around her, she isn't agreeing with what she brought up on. So she is going against everything to save the one boy she loves most.

Ash holy hotness. I was wishing I was Natalie through this book. He is a very unique character who has tons of sides. He to some people is the drug dealing boy, or the one who helps deliver food to the needy, or the one who helps someone in need. He has all these different sides but never changes who he is. Then comes Natalie barging into his life, throwing him off, confusing him, then something HUGE happens and he doesn't know what to think. He will do anything to protect her, and again everything is thrown off course with some new admissions. He doesn't know what to do or think, the one thing he knows for sure is Natalie is HIS and he will do whatever it takes to keep her and his loved ones safe.
This book I am still reeling from and can't keep the smile off my face when telling friends about it. I just need them to read it so they know how I feel. This book took my breath away, and I can't wait to see the next leg of the journey. I am already getting anxious about it!!!

That’s the day the trouble started.

The trouble that nearly ruined my life.

The trouble that turned me Dark.

The trouble that begs me for revenge.
Celia Door enters her freshman year of high school with giant boots, dark eyeliner, and a thirst for revenge against Sandy Firestone, the girl who did something unspeakable to Celia last year.
But then Celia meets Drake, the cool new kid from New York City who entrusts her with his deepest, darkest secret. When Celia’s quest for justice threatens her relationship with Drake, she’s forced to decide which is sweeter: revenge or friendship.
This debut novel from Karen Finneyfrock establishes her as a bright, bold, razor-sharp new voice for teens

Review : This book is amazing. It highlights many problems and situations that many tide to go through and it helps put a positive spin on how to handle those situations.

Celia is spunky and fun! When all she wants is revenge, she finds friendship and an outlet through poetry. Everything about this book is great. Celia is fun, and it takes us through her freshman year and her planning of revenge. But what if revenge isn't all it's cracked up to be, add in Drake from NYC and she has a new friend she doesn't want to lose.

This book takes us through a lot of realistic problems and Karen did an amazing job with this story.
I can't getover how much I enjoyed this book. It will have you laughing out loud in no time and just a fresh fun read in the YA genre!!!!
