Synopsis
Growing up on Catalina Island, off the California coast, Scarlett Wenderoth has led a fairly isolated life. After her brother dies, her isolation deepens as she withdraws into herself, shutting out her friends and boyfriend. Her parents, shattered by their own sorrow, fail to notice Scarlett's pain and sudden alarming thinness. Scarlett finds pleasure only on her horse, escaping to the heart of the island on long, solitary rides. One day, as she races around a bend, Scarlett is startled by a boy who raises his hand in warning and says one word: "Stop."

The boy—intense, beautiful—is Will Cohen, a newcomer to the island. For reasons he can't or won't explain, he's drawn to Scarlett and feels compelled to keep her safe. To keep her from wasting away. His meddling irritates Scarlett, though she can't deny her attraction to him. As their relationship blossoms into love, Scarlett's body slowly awakens at Will's touch. But just when her grief begins to ebb, she makes a startling discovery about Will, a discovery he's been grappling with himself. A discovery that threatens to force them apart. And if it does, Scarlett fears she will unravel all over again.

Review : I really enjoyed this book. Scarlett is a girl going through a very hard time, her parents are in their own grief so they don't notice her and the weight loss and some other problems. She is just so far down into herself she isn't seeing that much until Will.

Will changes her life, makes her come back from the dark place she was in. But as things start getting back to normal and Scarlett is opening back up there is something that will threaten her, and she may not come back. I liked Scarlett but at times kind of wanted to slap her and tell her to snap out of it. I can't wait to see where book 2 takes us, and to see if they can make it through.

A centuries old prophecy places Emma in the heart of danger. Creatures of horrifying and evil proportions are after her, and it will take Emma, her aunt, and six, gorgeously captivating Guardians to keep her safe. But, if she can survive until her eighteenth birthday... things will change.

Excerpt:
“Thanks guys. I’m gonna miss you SO much,” I said, as tears stung my eyes again. “We’re going to miss you too! What are we going to do without you our last, crucial year? We’re finally going to be seniors,” Lia said, her eyes tearing as soon as she saw mine. Jeremy looked at me, and a single tear grazed his cheek. He quickly turned away and lifted his glasses, quickly wiping his face with his shirt. That was the first time I’d ever seen Jeremy get emotional. “You guys will be fine. And it won’t be forever. I promise to email and send pictures.” “You better,” Lia said, wagging her finger at me. And then… something happened. A sudden euphoric feeling; an unexplainable heat shot through every cell in my body. My pulse quickened, along with my breath, and tingles pricked my skin. A rush of adrenaline flooded my veins and my surroundings began to haze. I grasped onto the edge of the bed, taking in long, deep breaths. “Hey, are you okay?” Jeremy asked, scooting over to me, grabbing hold of my shoulders. “Emma, what’s wrong?” Lia called, jumping behind me, pounding my back. Hello! I’m not choking! I wanted to speak those words, but I couldn’t answer them. It was like all the breath had been sucked out of my lungs. Then…there was a knock at the door, and we all turned to look.

Review : LOVE LOVE LOVE. This book was amazing and I was in love right from the begininng.

Everything about this book pulls you in. Right from the start the tears were streaming down my face! What a start, and it all just came together from there. Tears, laughter, screams of frustration it all! Emma is a strong character who you just want to hug to you and keep safe but she has a certain boy for that! And what a boy that is! *swooning* She is going through some major changes, and it will just keep piling up! The things she is learning and seeing should be impossible. But the evidence is there and she will do what it takes to protect her new friends.

Emma will discover what she is really made of. Some new revelations will shake up her world even more and Emma takes it in stride! I just loved everything about this book, the good the bad and everything in between. Cameo did an amazing job with this book and I can't wait to see where this series will go!

Blood Therapy Blog Tour

A HUGE Thank You to Sterling, Jean Book Nerd and Lynda Hilburn!

For the rest of the stops : Schedule for Blood Therapy Tour

Synopsis

A sizzlingly sexy urban fantasy sure to feed the hunger of ravenous, vampire-loving fans.
Kismet Knight, a brainy Denver-based psychologist with a stalled career and a nonexistent love life, is about to have her world rocked. Not only does her newest patient, Midnight, long to become a vampire, but the teenager insists that a coven of the undead hangs out at a local goth club. The always-rational Kismet dismisses Midnight's claims as the delusions of an attention-starved girl—until bodies start turning up drained of blood and the hottest self-proclaimed vampire ever to walk the face of the earth enters her office.
What's real? What's not? As inexplicable events and romantic opportunities pile up, along with the corpses, Kismet finds herself in a whirlwind of passion, mystery, and danger. But this tough and funny heroine—who doesn't do damsel in distress—is about to turn the vampire-meets-girl convention on its head.

Review : This book was amazing. I fell right in love with it. It has everything a girl can ask for action, love, lust, vampires and two very sexy very opposite men!   Kismet is hilarious! She is taking this whole vampire thing in stride, maybe it helps that the sexy master vampire has his sights set on her but he isn't the only one. When bodies start to turn up and threatening notes start to come in along with some vandalism Kismet will have the sexy cop watching her back along with the sexy vampire. But she is an independent woman and jumps head first into the danger. She will stop at nothing to figure out what is going on and to protect the ones she is starting to care for.   When push comes to shove Kismet is all kickass and thinking about consequences later. This is a new take on the vampire scene and will have you laughing hysterically at some of the conversations and positions she is put it but it will nhot let you down.

Synopsis

Blood Therapy is a dark contemporary fantasy with humor, mystery, romance and adult situations.

Kismet Knight knows exactly how to handle her clients, but when it comes to her love-life, she's on less steady ground. That was until she met master vampire Devereux, an 800-year-old hunk, who not only managed to convince the entirely rational shrink that vampires really do exist - he also persuaded her to start dating him.

Kismet's still having nightmares after being kidnapped by Lucifer, a psychotic vampire. From a therapeutic perspective she finds his split personalities fascinating - but she's constantly terrified. And Dev's become obsessed with finding Lucifer - before he comes after Kismet again.

So much for her nice, ordinary life...

Review : Coming Soon .....

Lynda's books can be classified as urban fantasy/dark fantasy with romance, suspense/mystery, satire, horror, humor and sex.

Lynda Hilburn writes paranormal fiction. More specifically, she writes vampire books. After a childhood filled with invisible friends, sightings of dead relatives and a fascination with the occult, turning to the paranormal was a no-brainer. In her other reality, she makes her living as a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, professional psychic/tarot reader, university instructor and workshop presenter. Her series, Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist is being rewritten and will be republished by Quercus Books in the UK and Europe, and by Sterling Publishing/Silver Oak in North America. The UK version of the first book in the series, "The Vampire Shrink" will be published September, 2011. The North American version a few months later. Book #2 (tentatively titled "Blood Therapy"), which is a new book, will be published a year later, and book #3 (the book that used to be called "Dark Harvest") will follow a year later. She also has a short story in the anthology, "Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance," called "Blood Song." "Diary of a Narcissistic Bloodsucker" and "Undead in the City" are available through Amazon.com and Smashwords.
